Lord William Hague
Chancellor, University of Oxford
The Rt Hon Lord Hague of Richmond is Chancellor of the University of Oxford. William Hague was born in Rotherham in 1961 and educated at Wath-Upon-Dearne Comprehensive School. He went on to study at Magdalen College, becoming President of the Oxford Union and graduating in 1982 with First Class honours and the College Prize in PPE. Later he took an MBA at INSEAD in France.
After commencing a business career with McKinsey & Co, William was elected as the MP for Richmond, Yorkshire, at the age of 27 in 1989. He served for 26 years in the House of Commons in many senior roles, in particular Secretary of State for Wales 1995-1997, Leader of the Conservative Party 1997-2001, and First Secretary of State and Foreign Secretary 2010-2014. He played a leading role in the negotiations that led to a coalition government in 2010. As Minister for Disabled People he was responsible for the landmark Disability Discrimination Act of 1995, the year he was appointed to the Privy Council. He became the most widely travelled Foreign Secretary in British history and was known globally for the Campaign to Prevent Sexual Violence in Conflict, which he co-founded with Angelina Jolie. In the intervals between his roles in government, William became well known as an author, writing biographies of William Pitt the Younger and William Wilberforce. His first book won the History Book of the Year award in 2005, and he became a Fellow of the Royal Society of Literature. In 2015 he decided to leave the Commons, became a life peer, and has devoted his time since then to charity, business and journalism. He has served as chair of the Royal United Services Institute 2015-2020, chair of the Royal Foundation of the Prince and Princess of Wales 2020-2025 and is co-chair of United for Wildlife, a global effort to combat the illegal wildlife trade.
William is a weekly columnist of The Times. Since 2023 he has co-authored with Sir Tony Blair a series of reports advocating a stronger national focus on science, technology and innovation. Over the last forty years, William has maintained a close connection to Oxford, helping to design the university’s first major development campaign in the late 1980s, and becoming an Honorary Fellow of Magdalen in 2016. William’s wife, Dame Ffion Hague, read English at Jesus College and is an Honorary Fellow of Harris Manchester College. They are both passionate about libraries, gardens and nature conservation. William is President of the Britain-Australia Society, active in many other associations and charities, continues to travel widely, reads a great deal and is keen on martial arts.

Rebecca Enonchong is the founder and CEO of AppsTech, an enterprise software company. A native of Cameroon, she champions tech innovation in Africa. She chairs ActivSpaces, is Trustee and Chair Emeritus of Afrilabs, and co-founded Cameroon Angels Network and African Business Angels Network. She serves on the International Chamber of Commerce Global Executive Board and is Vice-Chair of the WHO Foundation. Named Business Insider Africa’s 2022 "Female Leader of the Year," she’s also among Africa’s most influential per NewAfrican and Jeune Afrique. A WEF Global Leader for Tomorrow, she became an International Fellow of the UK Royal Academy of Engineering in 2022.

Aishah Ahmad, Former Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria
Aishah N. Ahmad is a global finance and policy expert with nearly 30 years of experience in public policy, private markets, and governance. As Deputy Governor for Financial System Stability at the Central Bank of Nigeria (2018–2023), she led key reforms, including BOFIA 2020 and Nigeria’s domestic card scheme (Afrigo), driving financial inclusion to 74%.
A thought leader on financial innovation and Africa’s climate future, she has spoken at Harvard Kennedy School and Oxford Saïd Business School. In 2023, she received Nigeria’s national award of OFR for her impact on finance and gender advocacy.

Mr Francis Malige is the Managing Director, Head of Financial Institutions Business Group at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), leading investments across 36 economies. He navigated the EBRD's financial sector response to the COVID crisis and the war on Ukraine, implementing vital responses. Prior to this, he served in various roles at the EBRD, including Managing Director for Eastern Europe and the Caucasus based in Kyiv. Arunma Oteh, Executive-in-residence, Saïd Business School
Arunma Oteh, Officer of the Order of Niger, has been Executive in Residence at the School since January 2019.
Her research areas of focus are capital markets, economic development and financial technology. Arunma advises the School on Africa, Entrepreneurship, Finance and Sustainability, and most recently co-chaired the School’s Anti-Racism Initiative Taskforce. She is a member of the London Stock Exchange Africa Advisory Group. MaameYaa has over 17 years of experience advising sovereign wealth funds, central banks, family offices, insurance companies, pension funds and development finance institutions around the world on their investment arrangements. Dayo is a Partner and Co-Head, Energy and Natural Resources and Partner, Investigations, White Collar and Compliance Practice Groups at TEMPLARS, one of Africa’s Largest Law Firms with offices in Nigeria and Ghana. He has 25 years of legal and commercial experience and holds a law degree from the University of Jos, Nigeria and a master’s degree in law from the University of London. After 10 years of law firm practice, he took a hiatus to move in-house to join the corporate world as Group General Counsel and Company Secretary of an upstream oil and gas company where he worked out of offices in Lagos, Zurich and London. Dayo moved to a business role in 2015 as an Executive Director of an indigenous oil service company providing Marine Logistics support to energy companies in Nigeria and the wider West Africa region. Dr. Sena Dei-Tutu is a legal scholar whose research interests range from public international law to security sector reform, data governance, and gender studies. Over the last two and a half decades, Dr. Dei-Tutu has built a career in International Civil Service, Academia, and legal consulting. She is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Ghana School of Law, and currently a Visiting Scholar at Columbia University Law School. Tidjane has worked for over 15 years in the tech industry in Africa as an entrepreneur, consultant, and senior business manager. Tidjane then spent seven years at Google, leading activities in Africa before launching the Google Francophone Africa office in Dakar. In this role, Tidjane led ecosystem efforts across 15+ countries and launched YouTube in six markets. Prior to Google, Tidjane founded and led CommonSys, a company deploying e-government solutions in West Africa, and also co-founded an e-reputation platform in Europe. Tidjane began a career at Cap Gemini in France before joining Cosine Communications, a Silicon Valley startup specializing in network virtualization technology for carriers.

Prior to this role Henry led iShares & Wealth sales for UK Institutional clients, while he was also Co-Head of the EMEA Asset Management Leadership Team and a member EMEA iSW Sales Leadership Team. Henry joined BlackRock in 2020 from London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG), where he spent 4 years as Head of European Asset Owner & Consultant sales in the FTSE Russell business and in his final year he was additionally head of the wider continental European sales team. Henry co-founded and co-chaired the Black Employee Inspired Network Group (BEING) during his time at LSEG. Henry spent 7 years at MSCI were he led teams responsible for selling risk and portfolio management analytics to buy side & sell side institutions. He began his career in banking, working in a variety of roles at firms including Barclays Capital, Lehman Brothers and Merrill Lynch. Henry holds a BEng (hons) in Mechanical Engineering from Brunel University and holds the Investment Management Certificate (IMC). Rashid Abdalla, Managing Director, Goldman Sachs
Rashid is a managing director at Goldman Sachs. As Head of HITT, he oversees a portfolio of US$1 billion in debt and equity investments. He has over 20 years' experience of investment banking and private equity across North America, Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
For the last 10 years he has been financing greenfield and brown expansion projects across AFC’s 40 member countries in the natural resources, transport, heavy industries, telecoms and technology sectors.
